Rough Draft TX was founded in 2016 under Down South Word of Mouth.

Our classes provide in-person art experiences that focus on the healing process of making art rather than the technical aspects.

Projects

Rough Draft has several visual art, poetry, creative writing, and dance/movement projects that serve Hays County, Travis County, Tarrant County, and others.

Donate

Your donation helps to provide classes for people to use artistic expression to heal. Classes enable participants to create, share, and connect to one another as well as the larger community. Every dollar goes towards keeping our projects running smoothly.

CURRENT News + Events

We are thrilled to be the recipient of a Hogg Foundation Texas Capacity Building and Resiliency grant!

This will help us to expand the number of classes we offer, help us to develop a workbook focused on the pillars of wellness, and to reach more people within our community through gallery shows and the art tent at the Arts Squared Market in San Marcos.
